LOCKTON WINS TECHNOLOGY AWARD FOR SUPPORTING GROWTH
(Kansas City, Mo.) - 14 November 2011 - Lockton, the world's largest privately held insurance broker, is one of 15 winners of the ImpacT Awardsfor information technology excellence and innovation. The ImpacT Awards were presented Nov. 11 by the Kansas City Business Journal.
The Business Journal recognized 15 companies and IT departments that have "leveraged technology to make their operations leaner, smarter, more customer-friendly and easier on the planet."
Lockton earned its award in the Top-Line Growth category for its highly standardized technology architecture, ability to open new markets quickly, Lockton ARMR, and Lockton Online, the global intranet.
"It's a big honor for Lockton and for the IT team," said David Robinson, Chief Information Officer. "Our job is to help our Associates win and keep clients, and it's great to earn recognition for building tools that do that."
This is the second major technology award for Lockton this year. In September, InformationWeek magazine named Lockton as a winner of its Top 500 Award, ranking Lockton #70, tops among insurance brokers.
An outside panel of judges determined that the common denominator among the Business Journal's ImpacT winners was an ability to find technology solutions to improve their organizations.
